Mumbai: Tips and Myth Busting For Anyone Thinking of Visiting

After living in Mumbai for the past 3 years I thought I would share my tips, but also bust a few common myths. I hope this information will be useful for anyone who is thinking about visiting this fascinating city. Before I moved to Mumbai I was inundated with advice (mainly from people who had never even set foot in the country).  While well-meaning, the information I was given was a little worrying and rather misleading. This post and video aims to look beyond the headlines and explain more about what Mumbai is really like by hearing from someone who has actually lived in the Maximum City.

In this video I cover the three main areas that people usually ask me about:

    • Food –
      • will I find anything I like to eat?
      • will all the food be very spicy?
      • what is there to eat in Mumbai?
    • Hygiene
      • will I get sick?
      • should I bring medicines?
      • what happens if I do get sick?
    • Security
      • is it safe to visit Mumbai?
      • what is security like in Mumbai
      • as a woman traveler, will I feel uncomfortable?

If you have any questions or comments, then please leave them below and I will do my best to answer. Thanks for watching 🙂
